Mexico embarks on their exploratory year with TIPC

South Africa Joint Chair for Transformative Innovation

TIPC Member, South Africa’s National Research Foundation (NRF), in coordination with SPRU, are in the process of creating a jointly-funded Chair for Transformative Innovation.

Two day event on “Regional Policy and Transformative Innovation in Colombia” held at SPRU

In the framework of the SPRU - Colciencias cooperation agreement, SPRU organised a two-day event to socialise the advances of the project on “Regional Policy and Transformative Innovation” in Colombia. This one year project began in April 2017 and focuses on mentoring of Colombian academics on transformative innovation theory and practice and research on regional policy and evaluation of transformative innovation policies under the lead of researchers of SPRU.

Spanish language hashtag is launched

Following the workshop in Mexico, TIPC consortium has released a Spanish hashtag #InnovaciónTransformativa. Tweet us at @TIPConsortium

China hosts exploratory workshop 6th-7th March

The Chinese Academy of Science and Technology for Development (CASTED) have started to work with the Consortium as Associates. Beginning with an exploratory two-day workshop in China in early March, CASTED are driving the work with TIPC and the SPRU research team are supporting.

TIPC exploratory year position papers to be published

The position paper for the Transformative Innovation Policy Consortium, Framing Innovation Policy For Transformative Change: Innovation Policy 3.0 (Schot and Steinmueller), is due to be published in 2018 by the journal, Research Policy. The Paper - ‘Deep Transitions: Emergence, Acceleration, Stabilization & Directionality (Schot & Kanger) – which forms part of the research programme for the TIPC 5 year programme, is also set to be published shortly.
